- Develop and implement the procurement strategy aligned with the organization overall objectives and financial targets
- Forecast procurement needs, assess risks, and create contingency plans to ensure consistent supply
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service levels
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional development and a positive work environment
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor global market trends, geopolitical developments, and industry changes that may impact procurement activities
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve procurement performance
- Prepare regular reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance for senior management
skills & experience required
- Master / Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in oil terminal equipment (tanks, pumps, piping, metering systems)
- Well versed in the midstream of Oil & Gas
- Established vendor network and supplier connection
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, SAP and AutoCAD
- Able to travel to overseas for work assignment (regional) - around 30%
