Job Description

Job Summary

Manage and deliver the TB end-to-end product objectives within the country for Trade in alignment with global objectives for the product line , including financial and non-financial performance, enhancement of capabilities, product and client access future strategies, and oversight of risk and governance in alignment with the Product Head for Trade.

Responsibilities

Financial Performance and profitability

  • Responsible for the Doc trade product P&L within the country and region including responsibility over pricing for the assigned trade products.
  • Work with the Country TB head in the management of the country CAs.
  • Determine standard product pricing for the product line.
  • Develop jointly with the Sales team a strategy to meet country and regional objectives, in line with the overall Transaction Banking strategy.
  • Drive end to end product performance, improving efficiency through the e-agenda, straight through processing, ensuring scalability to grow

Key Responsibilities

Product Management and Development

  • Responsible for articulating the product strategy and executing product initiatives in the country for the product in conjunction with Regional Head of Trade.
  • Working with sales to understand customer needs and develop the client value propositions that will address them across client segments.
  • Support launches of product enhancements, new products/variations, as required for Trade. Work jointly with Sales to improve product offerings resulting in increase revenue and utilization.
  • Conduct product training across segments for sales (RMs/CMs/Trade Sales) and other stakeholders (CSG/Trade Ops).

Commercialisation

  • Responsible for commercialization of new Doc Trade Product capabilities by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for it launch.
  • Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs ensuring delivery of Trade.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to Trade Sales, CMs, & RMs to provide assistance to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals.
  • For the trade products assigned, improve processes for better customer experience resulting in growth in trade revenue in line with the Singapore CAs and PPG.
  • Ensure all assigned product initiatives are closed within the agreed timeline.

Leadership

  • Be a lead market advocate for Documentary Trade Products.
  • Participate in external engagements and initiatives to promote our Documentary Trade thought leadership.

Risk & Governance

  • Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to Trade.
  • Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers. remains superior to competition
  • Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks.
  • Monitor and manage risks arising from Trade product within your [region/product/portfolio]
  • Ensure Trade structures are appropriate to the level of client risk
  • Engage and escalate material red flags that arise in the transaction flow
  • Support optimising risk and returns
  • Support portfolio exercises as required, identify and monitor large concentrations of risk in your Trade portfolio
  • Monitor and manage the risks arising from the delivery of the Trade product within your [region/product/portfolio]
  • Support identification and closure of Operational Risk Events, audit issues and their action plans.

Skills And Experience

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in trade finance
  • Documentary trade experience is preferred
  • Well versed with Microsoft Excel & Power point
