We are looking for a Senior Remote Access Engineer (VMware / Omnissa Horizon Suite) to join our team on an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for extension or permanent conversion based on individual performance and business requirements.
Job Summary:
You will join our Engineering Excellence Team based in the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering, optimizing, and maintaining our VMware/Omnissa Horizon platforms, Citrix published applications, and secure remote access services. This includes a focus on remote desktop access brokerage, F5/APM, and Omnissa UAG solutions. The role will involve working closely with global teams for architecture, design, change implementation, and ongoing support of these platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain VMware/Omnissa Horizon Suite, including AppVolumes and Unified Access Gateway (UAG), for remote desktop and application delivery.
- Administer and support Citrix Desktop Delivery Controllers (DDC) and associated infrastructure.
- Provide end-to-end engineering solutions for secure remote access via F5/APM, Omnissa UAG, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with global teams to architect and optimize platform performance, ensuring sustainability and scalability for the entire organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to remote access, virtualization, and load balancing technologies.
- Manage and deploy updates, patches, and system improvements for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and related systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with security and industry best practices for remote access and authentication technologies (e.g., PING, SAML).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies and ensure seamless user experiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with VMware/Omnissa Horizon Suite (including AppVolumes and UAG).
- Proven expertise in managing Citrix DDC products and virtual desktop environments.
- Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with secure remote access solutions, including F5 load balancers, APM, and Omnissa UAG.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and security protocols related to remote access technologies.
- Experience with PING or SAML-based authentication technologies.
