Job Summary:
We are seeking aReports Developerresponsible for setting up and configuring reporting platforms. The role involves translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications, developing ETL scripts, building queries, and presenting data through reports. The candidate will also conduct unit tests and resolve defects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting Platform Setup:
- Configure and set up a robust reporting platform.
- Translate business/functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Design and develop data models and reporting layers for easy access and analysis.
ETL Development:
- Develop ETL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Ensure smooth data migration and transformation processes.
- Conduct unit tests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Query Development & Reporting:
- Create complex queries to extract and present information in a clear, actionable manner.
- Develop and enhance reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Continuously optimize data retrieval and reporting processes.
Technical Skills & Requirements:
Azure Data Factory (ADF):
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with ADF.
- Proven experience developing ADF pipelines for data migration and transformation.
- Expertise in handling complex ADF jobs, including the transformation of multiple tables.
- Deep knowledge of ADF terminologies and coding standards.
Azure Synapse:
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse database and its configuration.
- Experience in configuring Synapse databases, including data distribution, indexing, and record processing.
- Strong understanding of how Azure Synapse processes large tables concurrently and its integration with ADF.
- Familiar with managing access controls in Synapse databases (e.g., using service accounts).
Power BI SAAS:
- 2-3 years of experience with Power BI, developing reports and dashboards.
- Proficiency in using Power BI Desktop and Power BI builder tools to develop/enhance paginated reports.
- Experience developing complex, interactive dashboards.
- Understanding of Power BI licensing (Free/Pro/Premium) and managing workspace access in Power BI SAAS.
- Knowledge of Power BI Gateway setup and configurations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical details effectively.
- Experience with unit testing and resolving data-related defects.
