Job Description
We are looking for a Research Assistant on a 18-month contract to support and co-ordinate research projects and clinical trials being conducted in IMH.
Job Responsibilities
Role-specific (80%)
- Supporting and coordination of research projects/clinical trials
- Maintenance of database and basic statistical support
- Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for submission to journals
- Direct liaison and communication with patient research subjects
- Prepare and conduct surveys with patients
- Data collection from case-records/patient interviews
- Assist with on-site visits by patients
- Assist in budget planning, payments and agreement preparation for research projects/clinical trials
- Monitor and coordinate all research project deliverables with research principle investigator
- Preparation of research findings and reports
General (20%)
- Computerized and manual literature searches for relevant projects/trials
- Co-ordinating meetings for research project and clinical trials, including recording of minutes
- Planning and making posters/flyers for research submissions
- All administration concerning research project
- Any other tasks assigned to ensure smooth completion of research project/clinical trial
Requirements
Competency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to use basic Microsoft Office tools
Educational And Professional Requirements
- At least a diploma in a relevant field of study
- Candidates with prior research experience will be preferred
