A Research Assistant / Research Associate is critical to provide clinical research support to the Lead Principal Investigator and Team Leads who run the HELIOS Study, in such a manner that promotes good quality sample and research data collection.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Perform carotid ultrasonography for measurement of Carotid artery intima media thickness (CIMT) measurements based on the study protocol.
Carry out analysis of the acquired images to quantify carotid arterial health.
Assess and give suggestions to improve digital image/readings quality
Contribute to the production of research reports and/or publications.
Assist in co-ordination of project-related meetings.
Undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.
Key Competencies and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (for Research Assistant) or Master's degree (for Research Associate) in biomedical sciences, biotechnology or related fields.
Skills in using statistical software, Microsoft software will be advantageous.
1 year of relevant experience in analyzing ultrasound and/or ophthalmic images would be advantageous. Training will be provided.
Excellent trouble shooting, organization skills, and problem solving skills are also required as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Training will be provided to level the skillsets needed to perform these roles.
