The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (CRADLE@NTU) seeks applicants with a Bachelors (Honours) degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field from a university of good standing for a Research Assistant Position.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from external institutions (including schools) and project collaborators.
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare research progress reports.
- Day to day coordination of funded projects.
- Preparation of ethics documents to Institutional Review Board.
- Participant recruitment.
- Data collection using psychological and neuroimaging techniques, such as cognitive testing, fNIRS and MRI.
- Perform research-related administrative work, such as purchase of material/equipment for research.
- Manage day to day operations and meticulous record keeping of the research project.
- Systems administration, including maintenance of network servers and data security.
- Carry any other duties as required by Principal Investigator.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors (Honours) degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field from a university of good standing.
- Experience with cognitive/neuropsychological assessment with children and neuroimaging techniques such as fNIRS and/or fMRI is preferred.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with a good command of the English language to perform literature reviews, prepare research progress reports and create visual infographics for presentations.
- Able to work independently.
- Good project coordination and administration skills, including data management and storage.
- Willing to travel to school sites for data collection.
- Willing to work on weekends (with off-in-lieu) when needed
- Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines.
- Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.
