Job Description
We are currently seeking talented individuals with:
- Educational research interest in interdisciplinary studies, including but not limited to STEM education, engineering education
- Able to do literature review and summarize the main findings from the literature
- Able to do qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis including but not limited to field observation, interview, systematic literature review, video analysis, statistical modeling, SEM, HLM
- Monitor project progress, draft the reports, and manage (e.g., data tools, curriculum exploration)
- Organize PD sessions for teachers in the local and international settings
- Disseminate the outcomes of the research including in peer-reviewed academic publications of international standing
- Assisting with educational research (e.g., STEM education) proposals preparations, as well as seeking and pursuing appropriate external funding in these areas
- Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator(s)
Job Requirements
To apply for this position, applicants should be:
- Proficiency or understanding of at least one of the following education-related fields: (1) STEM education, (2) engineering education, (3) psychology, and/or (4) science education
- Knowledgeable in one of the following concepts: (1) curriculum theory & co-constructed lesson designs, (2) evidence-based research, (3) educational theories (e.g., social cognitive theory, pedagogical content knowledge), (4) assessment, and/or (5) teaching and learning methods (e.g., problem-based learning)
- Proficient communication and writing skills in English
- Preferably knowledgeable and familiar with secondary education setting in Singapore
- Possess excellent problem solving abilities as well as strong attention to detail.
- Someone who can work independently while still collaborating effectively within a team environment when needed.
