Research Associate (6-month contract), CAIDG/CDL

Job Description

• Ingest and curate laws and regulations into a structured format for use in LLMs
• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure the legal fidelity of the model's outputs
• Analyze and identify gaps or challenges in representing legal rules and principles as datasets
• Contribute to discussions on the jurisprudential aspects of legal data representation
• Provide legal expertise to guide the development of AI systems in compliance with Singaporean law

Qualifications

• Singapore law degree (LL.B. or higher) is essential
• Strong understanding of Singapore's legal framework
• Interest in jurisprudence and the theoretical foundations of law
• Familiarity with AI technologies and an eagerness to explore how law can be integrated into machine learning models
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Prior experience or interest in legal informatics, legal data representation, or law and technology is an advantage.
• Prior experience in conducting research work will be preferred
