We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Research Associate.
The Research Associate will work on a funded interdisciplinary grant at the intersection of graph data management, cognitive psychology, and data visualization to support the University's research in data science. The project seeks to develop a novel data-driven framework for user-friendly visualization of property graph schemas that is informed by theories from cognitive psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing it.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop effective abstraction and algorithms for visualisation of property graph schema.
- Assist in development of user-friendly and interactive interface for visualisation of property graphs.
- Liaise with various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the production of research reports.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigators.
Job Requirements
- Preferably Master in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and programming skills.
- Strong background in algorithms and data management.
- Experience using programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript and Python
- Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines.
- Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.
- Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.
- Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
- The ability and willingness to adapt and incorporate novel ideas and approaches in scientific industry.
- Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.
