RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on learning to optimize research project. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Assistant Prof MA Dong from School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University.

• Literature review
• Developing graph neural network and reinforcement learning assisted optimization algorithm
• Benchmarking with traditional optimization algorithm
• Real-world dataset collecting and testing
• Data analysis and evaluation
• Publishing academic papers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning
• Minimum one year of relevant research experience in machine learning
• Basic knowledge/Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Python will be positively considered/ is required
• Demonstrated experience and know-how on solving optimization problem
• Experience with at least one programming software/languages, such as Pytorch or Tensorflow is preferred
• Excellent working knowledge of machine learning including graph neural network and reinforcement learning
• Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills
• Applicants with research publications in machine learning will be advantageous
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members
