The Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore at the National University of Singapore is hiring a Research Fellow (RF). The successful candidate will conduct research and technology scan on current and future trends in coastal protection and flood management solutions, including increasing use of AI in computational fluid dynamics, extreme event prediction and condition monitoring. He/she will also conduct research in some of the abovementioned topics and write research proposals to secure grants for CFI.
. Possess a recognised PhD degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
. R&D experience in coastal/offshore/structural engineering and/or AI and machine learning.
. Strong writing and communication skills.
. Ability to work independently and in a team .
. Open to fixed-term contract.
