The team of Prof Loh Kian Ping invites application for a postdoctoral fellow/research fellow working in condensed matter physics and two dimensional (2-D) materials devices. A major research thrust is the synthesis and investigation of artificially engineered heterostructures of quantum materials synthesized by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) with strong electron correlations which allow new emergent states to be created at the interface.
The candidate should have a PhD in Physics and have experience in operating
(1) Angle resolved photoemission spectrometer, and the collection and interpretation of results arising
(2) Experience in the molecular beam epitaxy growth of 2D topological materials
(3) UHV-scanning tunnelling microscopy/Q plus AFM
The candidate should have a strong track record in surface physics or condensed matter physics.
An attractive renumeration package will be offered for suitable candidate (research fellow) with a strong record in 2-D condensed matter physics and who has good publication record.
