The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore () is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow (RF) to study global vegetation dynamics and their impacts on the terrestrial carbon cycle and climate prediction. The RF is expected to use terrestrial biosphere models, Earth system models, remote sensing, and recent developments in ecological theory to simulate and deepen our understanding of vegetation dynamics.
The ideal candidate is expected to be highly creative, have strong numerical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in a diverse environment. This position is funded by a NUS Presidential Young Professorship award and a NUS Foresight grant. The initial contract will be 1 year with the possibility of extending up to 3 years, contingent on satisfactory job performance. We provide competitive salary (> S$70k/year) for the position with the consideration of years of experience postgraduate.
