Research Fellow (Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science)

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on mechanics of pollen-based materials, plant morphogenesis, and morphing structures

• Collaborate with team members (Research Associates, Project Officers, PhD students), and mentor undergraduate students, visiting scholars and researchers

• Conduct modelling, simulation and experimental research on mechanics of pollen-based materials

• Explore applications in fields of shape morphing structures and devices

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science or relevant field

• Research experiences in mechanics of materials and plant morphogenesis

• Good publication record

• Proficiency in research design and research collaboration

• Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English as required for research work.
