The School of Materials Science & Engineering is looking for a Research Fellow who will join the 2D semiconductor group, focusing on the fabrication techniques and performance of electronic devices based on 2D semiconductors. As part of an esteemed collaborative team of scientists, postdocs, and Ph.D. students, the individual will delve into the areas of nanomaterials preparation and characterization, nanofabrication and device measurement, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing 2D semiconductors, such as CVD, mechanical exfoliation, etc.
Characterizing 2D materials using techniques such as TEM, AFM, XPS, XRD, Raman, PL.
Developing new techniques of device fabrication based on 2D semiconductors, in combination with traditional methods.
Designing functional devices based on 2D semiconductors and related techniques.
Measuring the performance and studying the mechanism of these devices.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related science discipline.
Preferred experience includes: 2D materials preparation methods such as CVD, mechanical exfoliation, etc. characterization of 2D materials such as AFM, Raman, etc. and nanofabrication techniques such as EBL, ALD, RIE, etc.
Strong foundation in semiconductor physics is crucial.
Proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken, is mandatory - for research purposes
