We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on a project Innovative structure systems for next-generation construction. The role will focus on conducting experimental and numerical studies on novel joints for modular structures and developing new design methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments on modular structures
- Conduct numerical modelling
- Assess existing design codes
- Propose new improved design methods
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in Structural Engineering from reputable universities or related field
- Familiarity with Eurocodes on steel and composite structures
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. specific programming languages, numeric and analytical skill
- Competent in soft skills / general personality traits: Information visualization, interaction design
- Interpersonal skill: Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
