The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. Research Scientist / Engineer (Fibre Optics)
In this role, you will:
Design optical fibres in support of the fibre laser development in DSO
Develop a robust, optimised fibre fabrication process at COFT (NTU)
Characterise and analyse the performance of optical fibres
Drive fibre laser component(s) development
Requirements
PhD / Masters / Bachelors Degree in Materials Science / Materials Engineering / Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Physics or equivalent
Independent and self-driven learner
Meticulous individual with a passion for materials processing
Able to lead and work well in a team
