Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Supervise construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, structural works, and finishing, to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues, address changes, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
- Review and approve construction drawings, and material submissions in accordance with project specifications.
- Monitor progress and performance against project schedules, budgets, and milestones, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Manage and resolve any disputes, conflicts, or claims that may arise during the construction process.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to resolve design-related issues and ensure constructability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, inspectors, and site staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on-site and promote a culture of safety among project personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field professional licensure is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management or resident engineering roles, preferably in infrastructure or building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Experience with construction management software and tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required to meet project needs.
