Our Client:
Our client is one of the largest Japanese suppliers of equipment and services for the power generation industry. They are looking for a Resident Engineer to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the Customer, ensuring that the customer's issues and requirements are clearly understood and addressed
- Responding to and resolving Customer and internal stakeholder technical requests
- Proactively identifying potential failures, assessing and controlling operational risks with support from the 24/7 remote monitoring hub and expert support
- Analyzing, tracking and reporting monthly Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data and relevant KPIs
- Collaborating with and supporting the technical communications between the Customer and other relevant parties during each Planned or Unplanned Maintenance
- Supporting the achievement of common goals with the Customer including but not limiting to health and safety, environmental protection, customer satisfaction, and plant performance
- Supporting the Customer in the selection of spare parts, tools and equipment
- Investigating various operational problems on the Power Train and Auxiliary systems, which involve analyzing operational, mechanical, instrumentation, control aspects, and suggesting necessary actions to minimize operational risks.
- Leading or supporting root cause analysis to determine the original cause of forced outages
- Investigating problems that may occur during maintenance works and be capable of providing solutions on urgent basis.
- Summarizing and communicating findings and conclusions in clear, logical and easily understood reports for external customers or internal departments
The Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in a relevant engineering or technical field, with 10 years of proven related work experience, preferably in the Power or Process Industries
- Previous site work experience in Long Term Service Agreements, plant commissioning, field service, and/or maintenance and overhaul of GTCC power plants or industrial plants rotating equipment is preferable
- Technical knowledge in GTCC operations and maintenance
- Strong in troubleshooting, supported by expertise in mechanical systems and components, instrumentation, controls, and plant operational aspects
- Able to develop and write clear and concise technical instructions, procedures, reports, specifications and recommendations
