The Role
- Supervise C&S works to ensure compliance with contract documents and acceptable standard of workmanship
- Ensure the building works are constructed to the required quality, accuracy and full compliance in accordance with the Building Control Act and Regulations and approved drawings and specifications
- Check & approve structural shop drawings
- Check & approve method statements submitted within specified time frame
- Manage RFI involving C&S & liaise with Design & Drafting office.
- Resolve site problems of a technical nature in a timely manner.
- Attend, facilitate & follow-up on structural audits conducted by client & Authorities
- Manage structural materials test, arrange and supervise acceptance tests on site
- Check & monitor that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner.
- Ensure proper documentation and records of all C&S works, including records of test, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material testing and safety inspections
As an ideal candidate, you will have
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or its equivalent
- Knowledge of all the Codes of Practice and regulations related to building services is essential
- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Resident Engineer Accreditation Certification
