Resident Technical Officer

Responsibilities

• To be capable of performing the following duties on his own:
• Check installations of static equipment, coating, painting, piping etc
• Review installation to ensure compliance with construction drawings
• Ensure installation has adequate space with operation and maintenance considerations
• Inspect pressure vessels, storage tanks etc and ensure safety devices are properly installed
• Active role in technical discussions with contractors and equipment suppliers
• Witness the commissioning of rotating and non-rotating equipment
• Proper record keeping of all inspection/witness activities carried out
• Perform inspection for defects clearing.
• Ensure defects are cleared before signing off
• Carry out other inspection/witness activities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Posses minimally O'levels or equivalent
• Minimally 10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections for Infrastructure or power plant projects
• Familiar with Pipping works
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
