This is a creative role responsible for the design of Fragrance & Beauty Retail projects in Asia Pacific, working closely with relevant teams to ensure highest creative and innovative retail environments that meets the Brand's standard and strategic direction while supporting market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Design
- Assist reporting manager in design and execution of Fragrance & Beauty Retail department store counters, travel retail distribution and standalone boutiques.
- Work closely with Visual Merchandising to ensure creative and articulated store presentation.
- Manage independent design workflow and status to oversee projects from project Brief review, through design stage and up to completion and opening for each project.
- Update and report to reporting manager monthly planning for markets renovations and new projects in order to maintain harmonious workflow throughout the year.
- Select and source materials for the region, maintaining library resources.
- Maintain standard details book and updates.
- Ensure highest level of quality and consistency in the construction of all projects.
- Interface with relevant internal functional teams and external consultants to ensure optimal project delivery.
- Advise local team and follow up on minor improvements / retrofits / special projects
Contractor Management. In collaboration with Project Management team, facilitate construction process:
- Review contractors shop drawings and progress developments.
Community Building / Knowledge Sharing
- Review and share best practice throughout the region and within the team.
- Document market visits with trip reports to facilitate follow up, share best practice and constantly improve construction quality.
People and Resources Management
- Support the local Store Planning teams to continuously engage and inspire them to perform their best at project executions
Person Specifications:
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- Degree of Bachelor in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or graduates in Design or Art School education with formal training in architecture or interior design.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of design experience in architectural or interior design. Experience in luxury Retail space preferred.
Required Competencies
- Highly creative mindset and curious person that could think out of the box.
- Strong proficiency in Autocad, Sketchup modelling and good presentation skills with powerpoint and Indesign.
- High organization skills and able to manage workload efficiently using excel or other tools
- Collaborate well with designers and ability to work as a team
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
