Responsibilities:
- Plan/control buying budget by brands/suppliers to achieve great merchandising mix and optimal profitability.
- Source/develop products under house brands that are in line with store positioning.
- Working directly with sales teams & other merchandisers to plan product collections
- Required to liaise with principal brands, collate all orders from corporate sales teams, compile the amount for analysis, process the order and deal with principal brands
- Constantly source for new exciting brands/merchandise and negotiate for best margin/support/exclusivity.
- Provide product information and conduct product training to sales staff.
- Manage surplus and/or slow-moving merchandise
- Meeting suppliers, generate sales reports and process purchase order, new items creation & generate PO
- Handling production / supply problems as they arise
- Overseeing levels & distribution of stock and preparing stock promotions / price reductions as appropriate
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of merchandising experience.
- Minimum Diploma in any studies
- Excellent teamwork, communication & interpersonal skills
- Analytical & numerical proficiency
- Administrative, IT & organizational skills
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
