Handle all aspects of account opening and account development strategy through a detailed understand of the customer requirements and buying strategy
Manage the key accounts within the region and develop strategy for a sustainable and profitable long term business relationship
Develop relationships with the key customer stakeholders
Develop a team of junior traders on daily sales, marketing and trading activities
Service existing customers and develop new accounts
Manage the internal process for account opening and credit reviews
Manage all pre- and post-fixture documentation, payments and settlement of claims and disputes
Accountable for driving sales targets and performance for own accounts
Coordinate with the Supply Team in identifying and monetising new opportunities
Work closely with Supply Team and trading team on bunker trading and sales initiatives
Seek, support and help develop new business development initiatives to improve sales and margins
Provide competitor insights to management, manage and drive sales of bunkers to key targeted accounts and own the process from account opening, generation of enquiries, price and contract negotiation, and payment.
Requirement
At least 3 years experience in bunker trading with a customer interface and understanding the shipping, trading, commodity markets including hedging /price risk management
Deep understanding of global shipping market, bunker practices, operating standards and global supply options
Outstanding network of customers within the region - China & HK
High level of drive and commercial acumen
Highly self-motivated and target-oriented personality
Excellent relationship management and strong negotiation skills
Able to handle people from different backgrounds and cultures.
