Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Bioproduction team as a Sales Development Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through proactive prospecting and lead qualification.
Additionally, the Sales Development Representative will also be responsible for managing and nurturing existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and increase upsell and cross-sell opportunities. This position requires strong sales and account management skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in sales and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social networking, to generate new leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Qualify leads through effective discovery and needs assessment to determine their fit for our products or services.
- Educate and engage prospects through effective communication and value proposition presentations to build interest and generate sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the technical sales team to develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed lead generation and revenue targets.
- Manage and nurture existing accounts, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Conduct regular check-ins with customers to understand their evolving needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Use CRM software to manage lead activities, update customer information, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team on the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns and suggest improvements for future campaigns.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service while representing the company to potential customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with prospects and existing customers.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to convert leads into qualified opportunities and upsell/cross-sell to existing customers.
- Self-motivated individual with a drive to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Occasional night calls with US counterparts may be required.
