Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our South East Asia and Taiwan sales team. The ideal candidate will have sales and commercial exposure, with a proven track record of strategic sales growth and strong customer relationships. This role requires extensive travel across the region and the ability to lead multi-cultural teams effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand customer base within the region
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and stay ahead of the competition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and making data-driven decisions to optimize sales efforts
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in the industrial automation sector, with a strong network of contacts in the industry
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the South East Asia and Taiwan markets
  • Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the industrial automation sector
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
  • Knowledge of the latest market trends and technological advancements in industrial automation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Willing to travel when required
