Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales and account management teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new meal plan and corporate accounts, retaining and growing client spend, and gathering client insights to drive product improvements. This role requires a dynamic leader comfortable with startup environments and reports directly to the founders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire New Meal Plan Accounts: Identify and secure clients that offer regular meals to their employees as a perk. Leverage industry knowledge and networks to approach potential clients in procurement, HR, workplace, and facilities departments.
- Acquire New Corporate Accounts: Target companies requiring invoice billing and credit terms, converting them into valuable recurring clients. Utilize existing networks and industry contacts to accelerate account acquisition.
- Acquire New Pantry Management Accounts: Target companies seeking pantry stocking and management services for their offices. Develop customized proposals to meet the specific needs of potential pantry clients.
- Client Retention and Growth: Develop and implement strategies to retain existing clients and increase their overall spend on meal plans and corporate services. Collaborate with the account management team to ensure high client satisfaction.
- Build Own Team: Opportunity to lead a team of 2 Account Executives and build a SDRs team, driving sales success and professional growth.
- Client Insights and Product Improvement: Collect and analyze client feedback to identify pain points and desired features. Collaborate with the product team to translate client insights into actionable improvements.
- Strategic Reporting:
- Provide regular updates and insights to the founders on sales performance, client feedback, and team progress.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align sales objectives with company goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years leading sales and account management departments.
- Proven experience in startup environments with a demonstrated ability to scale operations from the ground up (0-1 process).
- Preferred background in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
- Established network within procurement, HR, workplace, and facilities sectors.
- Strong ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a sales team in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example.
- Track record of successfully acquiring and retaining corporate clients.
- Skilled in developing and executing effective sales strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to collect and interpret client insights to drive product enhancements.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
