Job Description: Sales Manager - Marine Engines

Region:South East Asia & APAC
Role Objective:The Sales Manager for Marine Engines will drive and expand our business across the Southeast Asia and APAC regions. This role involves actively promoting and selling marine engine lines, with a focus on products from VM Motori, Steyr Motors, and Hyundai Marine Engines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marine engines, the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, and a strong track record in achieving sales targets within the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Market Development & Strategy:
- Identify and develop business opportunities for marine engines across SE Asia and APAC.
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan to ensure sustainable growth and profitability in the region.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive products, and customer needs.
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Meet and exceed sales targets by focusing on marine engine lines from VM Motori, Steyr Motors, and Hyundai Marine Engines.
- Develop a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Negotiate and close high-value sales deals, ensuring alignment with company revenue goals.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, dealers, and distributors within the marine industry.
- Collaborate with existing and potential partners, including shipbuilders, government agencies, and private clients, to enhance brand presence.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with customers for after-sales support, feedback, and account management.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of marine engines, including the technical specifications of VM Motori, Steyr Motors, and Hyundai Marine Engines.
- Provide product presentations and technical support to customers, highlighting the unique selling points of each engine line.
- Work closely with the technical team to ensure clients receive comprehensive support and troubleshooting for their requirements.
- Reporting & Forecasting:
- Track sales metrics, prepare regular reports, and analyze performance against set objectives.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and suggest improvements when needed.
- Compliance & Coordination:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and regional standards within SE Asia and APAC.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Qualifications:- Experience:Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the marine engine industry, preferably with knowledge of VM Motori, Steyr Motors, and Hyundai Marine Engines.
- Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of marine engines and propulsion systems.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English and any regional language is an advantage.
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Travel:Willingness to travel frequently across SE Asia and APAC regions to meet clients and explore new business opportunities.
