Job Summary:
Based in Singapore, with travel as required, the Sales & Merchandizing Manager will report to the CEO and manage a Sales & Merchandising team to support and drive the Group's apparel sales and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee sales and merchandizing activities for growth/assigned customer accounts by:
- undertaking apparel costing and analysis for development and production purposes
- developing raw material supplier relationships to achieve a strong and dependable supply chain with favourable pricing and terms
- ensuring on-time sampling and testing, according to customer requirements.
- Manage a Sales Admin/Operations team to support sales and merchandizing administrative matters, including sales order creation and material standards compliance.
- Coordinate with various departments (production, logistics, quality control) to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor the progress of orders and provide regular updates to clients.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise in the production or delivery process.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and order status.
- Work closely with relevant teams to analyze and optimize costs and reduce waste across the procurement and production processes.
- Work closely with relevant teams to achieve timely and accurate reporting of product production and delivery for Management and customers.
- Engage in product innovation and design to drive sales and create new areas of growth by:
- exploring/developing virtual sampling and design capabilities
- exploring/developing new and innovation apparel products, including in the areas of new/novel materials, sustainability and wearables.
- Work closely with relevant teams to achieve the Group's ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) objectives in the course of Sales & Merchandising activities.
Specifications/Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
- At least 5 years experience in the full spectrum of Merchandising function with at least 3 years of experience as Merchandiser Manager.
- Degree or diploma from recognized university.
- Experience in the apparel industry, particularly in knitted fabrics, printing and washing techniques.
- Experience in managing a Merchandising team in the apparel industry.
