About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Trainer to join the Learning and Performance team at Elsevier. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in serving the Academic & Government (A&G) and / or Corporate markets that Elsevier serves and will therefore have a detailed understanding of Elsevier solutions and customer landscape.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the Challenger sales methodology to develop and deliver comprehensive product training to sales teams. Training will equip sales people with the knowledge and skills to effectively sell Elsevier's product suite to a range of voices in the buying communities we serve.
- Facilitate effective sales training sessions in both face-to-face and digital classroom settings
- Create best practice enablement materials to support successful adoption of Challenger with customised scenarios for different roles, business units, and regional markets
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to front-line managers and sales teams to ensure post learning implementation plans are successful and achieve long term behaviour change
- Design assessments and facilitate accreditation programs that benchmark skills, measure learning and identify patterns in areas for improvement
Requirements
- Experience working in the Academic, Government and Corporate markets that Elsevier serves is essential
- Experience in sales, with a strong understanding of sales methodology is essential
- Familiarity with the Challenger sales approach is desirable
- Ability to design and deliver engaging training content
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong project management and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of adult learning psychology and instructional design principles
