Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• AWS certified Cloud Practitioner
• SAS Programming Associate or demonstrable experience
• SAS Data Integration Developer or demonstrable experience
• AWS certified Database Specialty or demonstrable experience
• ITIL Foundations

Experience

• At least 7-8 years appropriate industry experience in large Insurance organisation.
• Strong SAS Base programming experience including
• Data Steps
• Procs
• Macros
• Strong understanding on how to get the best out of different SAS operating environments including SPDS, SPDE and SAS Grid.
• Strong experience across SAS products including:
• SAS DI Studio
• SAS Enterprise Guide
• SAS Management Console
• SAS LSF Scheduler
• Strong SAS background, with capability to write SAS with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff.
• Strong SQL background, with capability to write SQL with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff.
• Understanding of databases, data storage and data movement tools including how optimise development & approaches aligning to best practices.
• Proficient in using and manipulation multiple data structures/formats including and not limited to
• Proficient with version control tools and other developer utilities to develop and use continuous integration and test pipelines for database and data applications.
• Experience in scheduling SAS jobs using external tools such as
• Control-M
• Understanding of Linux Operating systems Proficient and proficient in shell script and Linux command line utilities.
• Comprehensive understanding and ability to follow processes and governance across all phases of the SDLC
