Job Description
- To prepare and get ready resources for Science teaching and learning
- To assist Science teachers in the setting up of experiments, etc. for Science lessons and/or activities and clearing of resources after each Science lesson and/or activity.
- To assist in the setting up of ICT and Science equipment such as projector, iPads, data loggers, and microscopes for Science lessons and/or activities
- To perform yearly inventory and stock taking of Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and Tinker-space.
- To organize the Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and Tinker-space.
- To maintain cleanliness and assist in ensuring safety in the 2 Science Laboratories and Tinker-space at all times.
- To assist in conducting simple Science enrichment activities such as showcasing the life cycles of some animals and creative toys during designated recesses / Science school-based events to complement Science learning in the classroom.
- To assist in the loan and yearly inventory and stock taking of resources in various Science Programme e.g.Tinker-space Programme, Science Sparkles, E2K-Ignite Programmers, etc.
- To assist the department in monitoring the Aquarobics System including feeding the fishes and harvesting the produce.
- To assist the department in the feeding and maintenance of the Mealworm Beetles, Stick Insects Enclosure, etc.
- Must be able to comfortably handle live specimens e.g. mealworm beetles
- Others
- To do any other duties as assigned by HOD Science
Requirements
- Minimally O level qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Science Laboratory Assistant/ Laboratory Technician
- Proficient in MS Excel
Working hours
- Mondays to Fridays from 7.30 am to 2.30 pm, inclusive of 1/2 hr lunch break.
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
- Service not required during Mar, June, Sep and Nov/Dec school holidays unless specified by HOD Science.
