A.STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A.STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Scientist to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A.STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A.STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.
The candidate will be joining the Antimicrobial Chemical Biology Lab, a newly established group in A.STAR ID Labs focusing on the development of synthetic antimicrobial compounds for potential therapeutic application against infection.
Research projects will encompass various tasks such as:
The candidate will be trained on project management and ideation of new studies aligning with the lab focus. He/she will also support the team in lab operation, safety oversight, and documenting experimental procedures and results.
