We are seeking talented and experienced Robotics Scientist with strong understanding in manufacturing production processes, robotic process applications, and automation solutions to solve industry challenges.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perception-guided manipulation
- Develop and optimise state-of-the-art robotic algorithms (object detection, recognition, and tracking using various sensors, advance motion planning, inverse & forward kinematics) for perception-guided manipulation systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software solutions into robotic platforms.
Skill transfer research and development
- Develop and implement transfer learning models for various machine learning tasks, including image recognition, natural language processing, and recommendation systems.
- Collaborate with domain experts to understand specific business requirements and adapt transfer learning models accordingly.
- Utilise transfer learning to enhance the efficiency and applicability of expert skills and stay updated on the latest advancements in transfer learning and skill adaptation.
Project proposal, scoping & execution
- Lead discussions with stakeholders to obtain holistic understanding of problem statements, requirements, and expectations.
- Perform technology scouting on industrial robotic applications and automation best practices.
- Perform process mapping and robotic process feasibility analysis.
- Develop project proposals and concepts for intelligent robotic processes and automation.
- Perform simulation-based programming of robotic motion.
- Execute development & implementation of robotic processes according to project life cycle, including technical project write-up and presentation.
Job requirement
- PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in robot trajectory planning and machine learning, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or Matlab
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch for building and training neural networks.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and present technical findings.
- A passion for robotics and a desire to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
- Strong commitment to solving technical challenges in the field of robotics, approaching obstacles with a positive and determined mindset.
