About
Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
About the team
About the team The Search Operation team focuses on providing operational support for TikTok's search business. Specifically, we are responsible for investigating TikTok's resources, understanding user demands, and optimizing search result quality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for undertaking search-side campaigns proposed by different projects; improve the user's search experience for such activities in search and expand the user's search demand for content.
- Optimize cooperation standards and strategies based on different types of activities in certain regions.
- Dig into the demands of each type of content in different regions and explore ways to improve search-related metrics.
- Conduct basic surveys or analyses on certain data to assess performance and expression.
- Find potential opportunities and risks through daily work and put forward suggestions for improvement.
- Additional compatible and related responsibilities which are not necessarily listed above
- Willing to work with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, adult & sexual content
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent English is required as it is the working language; Bachelor's degree or above
- Knowledge about search engines and TikTok. Familiar with similar apps.
-Have a great sense of data analysis, especially for complicated business matrices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with common software, and the SOP of events online in social apps, it is better to have experience in the IT industry for 2 years.
- Has an in-depth understanding of regional culture and familiarity with the users habits.
- Has brilliant judgment when encountering unsure cases and feedback timely and properly.
