Security Operations Engineer (Sec Ops Engineer)Job Title: Security Operations Engineer (Sec Ops Engineer)
Work Location: East Area, Singapore
Job Type: 2 Years Contract, subject to renewal
We are seeking a proactive Security Operations Engineer (Sec Ops Engineer) to join our IT security team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our IT infrastructure, managing security incidents, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with various teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and monitor systems to protect against potential threats.
- Primary Responsibilities:
· Be a counterpart of infra security activities including, infra operation security, SOC operation, cloud security.
· Identify and mitigate security issues, vulnerabilities, and security practices.
· Implement and update security measures.
· Engage in security monitoring.
· Manage security incidents, and standby support during security incident crisis.
· Be part of security tool lifecycle and roadmaps to develop best practices and standards.
· Ensure that compliance implementation and security guideline are adhere by relevant parties, and escalate/trigger alerts to team for escalation/execution.
· Manage vendor liaison.
· Assist in other IT related matter, as when required.
· Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
· At least 1 year of experience in security operations, incident response, or a related role.
· Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud security, and SOC operations.
· Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM) and incident management.
· Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO27001, NIST, or GDPR.
· Proficiency in scripting and automation tools is a plus.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively.
