Purpose and Scope
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Account Manager with a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills. As a key leader in the team, the incumbent will be instrumental in driving growth, building strong relationships, and executing strategies that enhance profitability.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Scale for growth: Lead the acquisition of new data center clients by building strong and trusted relationships. Structure, negotiate and close high-value energy sales agreements to achieve or exceed sales targets
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to take the business forward in improvement of profitability of our various segments
- Market and Product Expansion: Identify and evaluate expansion opportunities into new markets, products or partnerships to to drive client acquisition in the data center segment, facilitating organic growth and improvement in profitability
- Organizational Development: Ensure that the team has the capability to scale alongside business growth, in alignment with corporate priorities. Any other ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Masters in Engineering / Economics / Business.
- About 10 years of proven experience in sales and account management, preferably within the data center or power and utilities industries
Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- Strong understanding of hyperscalers and colocation providers
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze complex real world problems and articulate key messages.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong accountability and ability to lead and motivate teams to drive successful outcomes
- Strong commercial background, with track record of managing financials
