JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant / Accountant will support the daily financial operation needs of the various units within National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for month-end and year-end closing activities and accruals
Verify and ensure accuracy of cross charging from HQ support services and perform the cost allocation to cost centers
Preparation of monthly management reports and cost centre analysis
Involve in the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise including assist in preparation of budget papers and presentation slides
Preparation and submission of reports to HQ, MOH and other government agencies
Manage daily operations, verifying and approving of purchase requisitions and e-payment request
Work closely with units to verify quarterly claims submission, reviewing and processing of research claims
Assist with the Capex projection exercise, evaluation and management
Review approval papers and provide financial analysis
Any ad hoc duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience especially in management reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Meticulous, organised, able to work independently and meet timelines.
Possess excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and analytical skills.
Team player with the ability to manage cross-functional and institutional relationships and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Able to work independently
Working experience in the healthcare industry will be an advantage
Knowledge in SAP will be an advantage
