A (Senior) Accounting Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, internal, and external audits. This role will manage the accounts payable function, accounts receivables, payroll function, monthly closing of accounts, preparation of reports in support of the financial statements, and compliance with government regulations.
- Manage the monthly financial close process for a single entity (ensuring accurate recording of all costs incurred, reviewing journal entries, and reconciling balances.
Contribute to the development of accounting policies, operational strategies, and system improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and collaborate with auditors for successful audit and compliance with sustainability regulations.
Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate financial reporting.- Monitor and raise concerns with regards to budgets that are submitted by QSes in order to ensure that costs are kept in check.
Assist management with bank facility requirements, maintain accuracy in general ledger, and prevent financial irregularities.
- Prepare journal entries, tax returns, and financial statements, analyze variances to budget, and advise on financial processes.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Proficient in Accounting Software such as UBS, Zero, or Quickbooks
- Min 1-2 years experience in managing an accounting team
Good teamwork and communication skills- Good planning and time management skills
A dynamic, positive and forward-thinking personality with the ability to work under time pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar
- Familiarity with accounting for different forms of construction projects (project-basis and/or maintenance basis)
* Familiarity with accounting principles commonly used for construction
