UWCSEA has a vacancy at its Dover Campus for Senior Administrative Assistant
to start in October 202 The incumbent will provide administration support to the Heads and Teachers of the English Department, EAL [High School] and SELF TAUGHT.
Main Responsibilities Maintain database of all coursework and examination results, booklists and set lists of students for various grades.
- Act as the key liaison point for parents and students for either digital, telephone or face to face enquiries on administrative matters
Perform general administration such as data entry, filing, scanning and photocopying of documents; Replenish stationeries and office supplies, organise booking of venues and meeting rooms.- Checking student entry for the GCSE/IB exam tally with Exam Office list when required.
Requestor for ordering English/EAL Dept [HS] texts,classroom library books and supplies material. Liaising with Procurement Dept re books not received, etc.. Maintaining record of classroom readers in the dept.
- Ensure internal examination papers are ready before the exam date for Examination Office safe keeping.
Scan students mock exams papers [Gr 9, 1 1 & 1 2] for Self Taught Coordinator.- English Dept Social Fund keep cash flow.
Minimum Diploma holder with at least 3 years of administrative experience- Must be organised, meticulous with an eye for detail
Able to work cohesively in a team-based environment as well as independently
- Proactive self-starter with a high degree of flexibility
Passionate about working with children with excellent written and spoken English- Proficient in Windows/Mac platform (Google suite of apps (Docs, Sheets etc, and Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and collaborative software such as google calendar and event planning
Quick on the uptake - has the ability to learn new skills and procedures quickly and with ease
