Senior Advisor
Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Director - Asia, the individual will work within the Global Energy Transition Advisory team, in close collaboration with the organizations vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base.
Job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Manage projects across lifecycle, focusing on delivery to agreed scope and terms of reference.
Manage client / external stakeholder relationships (including government authorities and regulatory agencies).
Help originate projects to grow advisory business portfolio.
Guide juniors to input into a range of consulting projects through the operation of sophisticated internal models
Lead new analysis, create and deliver presentations and reports
Guide juniors to extract and analyze data from internal and external sources such as databases, websites and industry interviews
Lead development of complex economic models that assess various energy assets and simulate global commodity trade flows
Perform predictive analytics that evaluates investment decisions with various statistical concepts and tools
Help senior team members and SMEs prepare strategic roadmaps and business cases for clients.
Apply strict confidentiality protocols and data warehousing rules to protect client, 3rd party and proprietary company information.
Work collaboratively with Global Advisory Team to deliver overall P&L.
Coordinate resources and expertise with other offices and business units world-wide to deliver leading-edge solutions and excellent techno-commercial outcomes.
Support Director and other Principals to develop creative advisory solutions tailored to clients bespoke requirements.
Coach and mentor junior team members to continuously improve quality of delivery.
Provide inputs and support for strategic market communications.
Actively engage industry networks to stay abreast of latest developments and innovations.
Build upon current knowledge and continuously develop as a subject matter expert in energy transition developments in their area(s) of interest and passion
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
Promote the companys products/services addressing or predicting clients objectives
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Develop a plan of action to ensure project delivery
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Requirements/Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering and/or Science, with additional qualifications in Business or Economics (MBA can be an advantage).
Typically, 12-15 years energy/related industry experience, with 8 years+ specific to several energy transition topics listed above.
Experience with advisory consulting firms with demonstrated capability to grow advisory business will be an advantage.
Proven capability in delivering high-end advisory projects and managing key stakeholders well-regarded.
Experience developing energy transition strategy.
Strong understanding of Energy Transition technical concepts and commercial feasibility.
Familiarity with broad ESG ecosystem, including local and international carbon markets, rules and regulations.
Demonstrate business acumen (ability to grasp commercial feasibility of proposals) and financial literacy (ability to understand basic financial concepts and evaluation methods)
Ability to work collaboratively with direct team members, as well as broader colleagues
