Responsibilities: Corporate Actions
- Strong experience across all types of corporate action events especially, Voluntary corporate actions events like Rights subscription, Dutch Auction, Buy Back, Tender etc for Wealth Management customers.
- Should be able to identify, organize, prioritize, and supervise transaction volumes, workloads and forecast/deploy staffing resources as required
- Ensure information pertaining to mandatory and voluntary corporate actions received from various sources (Securities Depositories / Transfer Agents / Sub-custodians) are accurately interpreted
- Good understanding on Reorg events and able to handle reorg reports and process them in timely manner
- Tracking corporate action notifications on mandatory / voluntary/ choice events received from various sources like swift, email, pdf etc. and keeping the internal system up to date
- Extracting critical information from event details received from electronic/non-electronic formats and gathering it accurately into the Internal systems
- Manage the election process of voluntary corporate action events by collating the elections provided by the client and compiling the instructions to be sent to the agents / custodian and confirm receipt of the same.
- Ensure and maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing end to end corporate action event
- The candidates should be able to manage huge volumes and escalate any issues at right time to management/onshore team
- Ability to identify any exceptions arising out of daily BAU and accordingly provide timely resolutions by highlighting it to the onshore team. Updating the SOP document with the necessary changes post approval from the onshore Team.
- Maintain quality, accuracy & Turnaround time (TAT) as per Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Adherence to overall Service Delivery Requirements
- identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve processing efficiency and / or reduce risk
Technical Skills
- Strong Corporate action knowledge and knowledge of APAC market is a plus
- Good leadership skills necessary for assisting with the management of staff to ensure day to day efficiency and control of corporate actions processing
- Demonstrated ability to work under considerable pressure, which is due to stringent processing deadlines, unexpected volumes (emails/ events), and risk of significant financial loss related to processing errors.
- Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Analytical thinker with problem solving skills
- Excellent Communication Skills (Spoken & Written)
