We are looking for a creative and inspired Senior / Experienced architect to handle projects from the initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction for our BillionBricks community.
- Tastefully design / draft plans for within budgetary framework for various projects
Manage design projects from concept development through to completion.- Prepare drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Develop and present project proposals.
- Prepare costs estimates for various renovation / construction projects
Conduct research and compile reports on feasibility and environmental impact.- Comply with safety standards and local planning regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams and participate in design development meetings with external parties
- Assist in materials selection, specifications, materials take off, costs estimating and other design / construction issues
Mentor junior architects and interns- Be flexible to contribute to overall development of the company and take additional tasks as needed
Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in architecture
Degree in architecture or a related field.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
Excellent creative, graphic and visualization skills.- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought. To hand sketch and communicate abstract concepts and ideas to others effectively
Understanding of technical requirements and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp/VRAY, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc.
Experience in materials takeoff and cost estimating preferred- Resourceful, solution-focused, caring, able to deliver, committed and highly organized.
Demonstrated ability to think independently and recommend best practices
- Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.
