Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Operations, Planning & System, the candidate will be responsible for the business operations of the Patent Search, Examination & Analytics (SEA) Unit.
You will -
. Be responsible for business and operational excellence of internal and contracted processes through the management and continuous improvement of workflow and system
. Ensure business continuity and operational efficiency of internal and contracted processes and address issues when they arise
. Analyse data for reporting, capacity planning and process improvements
. Monitor unit's productivity and quality performance to ensure targets are met
. Ensure optimal utilisation of resources
. Review whether internal controls are sufficient and effective to mitigate risks
. Lead a team and provide guidance to team members
. Lead studies and implement process improvement and innovation projects
. Support Deputy Director in unit's planning for budget, capacity and performance

. Manage unit's procurement and administrative functions
. Undertake ad hoc unit projects assigned
Are you the one Please write to us if you have/are:
. A degree in any field with 5 to 8 years relevant working experience. Background in patents, experience in data analysis, knowledge in Power BI/Tableau and business process optimisation is a plus
. Organised, customer-oriented, meticulous, proactive, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
. Analytical, resourceful, able to work independently and in a team
. Able to drive process improvements using evidence-based/data-driven approach
. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and in particular Microsoft Excel
. Experience in budgeting/forecasting is useful
. Able to write and communicate clearly, concisely and logically
. Able to engage internal and external stakeholders
. Proven work experience in Operations Management or similar role
