Process Analyst, Education & Research Office (2 years contract)
As a Process Analyst, you will work in NUHS Deputy Chief Executive (Research & Education) Office as a Research Transformation Office (RTO) member. You will support the Senior Assistant Director of RTO and collaborate with fellow Functional Division/Department's Subject Matter Experts to deliver improved business processes and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside Functional Division/Department's Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify areas of inefficiency in the existing processes, and help users define business requirements which may entail process streamlining and/or automation.
- Assist SMEs and guide process mapping for as-is and to-be process modeling.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
- Responsible for data integrity, defining data conversion/migration requirements, and verifying the correctness of converted/migrated data.
- Suggest processes for integration with technology and ways to increase productivity.
- Be the liaison between the Functional Division/Department's Subject Matter Experts, technology, and support teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to business analysis and process improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.
- Proven experience as a Process Analyst or related role, with at least five years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Business acumen and the ability to align project objectives with overall business goals.
- Good knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in creating Process Flowcharts, Swimlane Diagrams, Value Stream Maps, or similar business process mapping diagrams and tools.
- Adept in data analysis concepts and familiar with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with data platforms, data analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.), Microsoft 365 apps, especially in Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Power Apps, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, MS Project, MS Visio and knowledge in SAP system.
- Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and has the ability to pitch ideas and influence.
- Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and reliability in all analyses.
- A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind.
Preferred Skills:
- Business Analysis certification, e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP), is highly desirable.
