As a Senior Assistant Manager, Strategic Procurement, you will play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring efficient and effective resource allocation, and driving cost savings.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborating with the Procurement Lead to manage specific procurement categories.
Managing day-to-day supplier interactions and ensuring high supplier performance.
Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
Analyzing procurement data and generating reports to support decision-making.
Ensuring procurement processes comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Contributing to the implementation of new technologies within the procurement function.
Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the procurement team.
Working closely with the procurement team and other departments to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational needs.
Assisting in managing communications with internal stakeholders.
Supporting the Procurement Lead in leading and mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Minimum Diploma / Degree Equivalent Qualification or Equivalent professional procurement experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well with multiple competing priorities and manage projects effectively.
A good team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Proactive in pursuing learning and development.
