We are seeking a
Senior Associate / Associate - Tax Technology and Transformation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the delivery of technology-driven tax transformation initiatives, assisting clients to improve their tax processes, optimise performance, and ensure compliance through digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong tax background, a passion for technology, and experience in implementing tax technology tools. Our Tax Practice covers all aspects of tax advisory services in Asia, including M&A tax due diligence, tax structuring, general tax advisory services etc. This position will lead and/or execute a diverse range of complex assignments as well as cross border transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the selection, implementation, and optimisation of tax technology solutions for clients, including ERP systems, tax reporting software, and workflow automation tools.
- Analyse existing tax processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend technology-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support project delivery across multiple clients, ensuring timelines, budgets, and expectations are met while managing and coordinating resources.
- Facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for tax reporting, compliance, and analytics projects. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting outputs.
- Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs, providing tailored recommendations and support on technology solutions for tax compliance and reporting.
- Support with the provision of training and guidance to clients on new tax technology tools, ensuring smooth adoption and optimisation. Serve as an internal knowledge resource on emerging tax technology trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA, CISA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in tax, finance, or technology transformation, with a strong focus on digital tax solutions, preferably in a consulting or managed services environment.
- Familiarity with tax technology platforms (e.g., OneSource, Vertex, SAP, Alteryx) and proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI). Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and opportunities for automation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment.
