Job Summary
The Data Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and reliability of data for both internal and external clients. This role involves monitoring and optimizing data processes, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and mitigating risks. The associate will also handle batch processing, alert monitoring, and abend resolution, contributing to the continuous improvement of data operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide high quality client service externally and internally. Address inquiries, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal partners.
Perform daily internal verification checks to ensure data is accurate and available within SLAs.
Investigate and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and feed processing exceptions and triaging with Data Engineering Support when needed.
Effectively complete and maintain operational workflows and identify and execute opportunities for optimization.
Investigate and resolve complex and intricate issues and perform ad-hoc analysis of large data sets while meeting tight deadlines
Collaborating with data engineers related to optimizing application logic and functionality in the Azure Gen2 Data Lake, Data Factory, Data Bricks and SQL Database environments.
Working knowledge of the firms operational data hubs and warehouse schema.
Work on cross-functional teams to represent the Data Team on various projects.
Apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to resolve support issues as they arise.

Qualifications
Strong sense of urgency
Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
3+ years served as Data Engineer or Data Operations role
3+ years of experience working with SQL
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and SQL Database products or equivalent products from other cloud services providers Expert knowledge and experience developing efficient ETL data pipelines having multiple sourcesExperienced in the use of standard ETL tools and techniques (e.g. SSIS or any equivalent ETL tools)
Familiar with modern data lake, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT concepts
Knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
Ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience with supplementary scripting languages such as Python
Preferred experience with PowerBI
Preferred experience with scheduling tools
