Singtel x Singapore Institute of Technology have embarked on a Work-Study Programme (WSP) launched in Feb 2023. The WSP is called The Catalyst Programme which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. This programme is open to Singtels internal employees as well as external polytechnic diploma holders preferably from the ICT domain. Non-ICT diploma holders are encouraged to apply as well. In line with building capability in Singapore ICT sector this program will develop & groom talent over a 3-year period completing micro-credentials for each module which eventually stack-up to an honours degree in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. Make an Impact by
Support internal and external audit preparations and BCP/DR exercises for datacom networking equipment, servers and systems.
Support system and security patches, updates for datacom networking equipment, servers and systems.
Manage security related deployments including endpoint detection response, network detection response, multi-factor authentication e.t.c to support Fixed Voice services.
Support daily security related alerts for update to NSOC team.
Support VAPT for datacom equipment and assess VA results on a periodic basis.
Communicate with key stakeholders to gather information on existing workflow and processes to streamline and optimise further. This include activities such as creating custom tools or scripts to simplify daily key tasks and prioritise on those that will have a significant impact especially on the provisioning, billing, reliability and security (including audit) of the services offered to both consumer and enterprise customers.
Work with multiple databases and datasets from OSS and BSS systems to analyse and unify the key technical information of the provisioned services to make it readily accessible for different teams, especially for CII platforms to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues if any to comply with regulatory and customer service SLA.
Skills for Success
A completed diploma from a reputable Polytechnic
3 years or less work experience
Experience with telco or networking duties
Proficient in programming (python is preferred), scripting, RPA, Power Apps automation related skills.
Effective communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
